Virtual & In Person Trauma-Informed Breathwork for Nervous System Healing
When Your Body Has Been Holding On Too Long
You know that feeling when you’ve been “holding it together” for so long that your jaw is tight, your shoulders ache, and your mind never stops racing?
You’re getting through the day, but underneath it all there’s tension — in your chest, your gut, your breath.
That’s your nervous system asking for help.
When stress builds up over time, our bodies don’t always get the chance to release it. Instead, it lingers — as anxiety, fatigue, short tempers, shallow breathing, or that constant sense of being “on.”
What is Body-Focused Breathwork?
Breathwork is a guided process that uses conscious, connected breathing to help your body release the stress, emotions, and patterns it has been holding onto — often for years.
When we go through difficult or overwhelming experiences, our nervous system does its best to protect us. Sometimes that means shutting down feelings, tightening muscles, or staying in a state of alert even after the moment has passed. Over time, that constant tension can turn into anxiety, exhaustion, numbness, or a sense of being disconnected from yourself.
Breathwork helps the body do what it was always designed to do — complete what was left unfinished. Through a specific pattern of breathing, your brain and body start to communicate more openly again. Old stress cycles can unwind, emotions can surface and move through, and you may feel a deep sense of relief, clarity, or calm afterward.
You are fully conscious the entire time. I guide you through the breathing pattern, help you stay connected to what is happening in your body, and support you in making sense of what comes up. Afterward, we spend time together processing the experience — helping you understand and integrate the shifts that occurred during your session.
People often describe breathwork as a way of finally feeling what their body has been trying to say — sometimes with tears, sometimes with laughter, sometimes with deep quiet. It is not about forcing anything; it is about creating space for your body to let go of what it no longer needs to carry.
My Journey with Breathwork
I’ve always dreamed of helping people feel better. Even as a little girl, my friends often came to me when they needed someone to listen — they said I always knew what to say to make things a bit lighter. That natural pull to support others eventually led me to become a therapist. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing many powerful transformations.
But a few years ago, something started to feel off. Traditional talk therapy began to feel limiting. I wanted to go deeper — beyond just words — and understand how the body and mind work together.
Talking about our struggles can help, but sometimes it takes a long time to truly feel the change. If you’re here, maybe you’ve felt that, too.
Then, in the summer of 2023, I discovered breathwork. I stumbled upon it on Instagram, got curious, and dove right in. Just three days later, I signed up — quite impulsively — for a nine-month Alchemy of Breath facilitator training with Anthony Abagnano.
It was an incredible experience. I was so committed that I woke up at 2 a.m. every Thursday for our three-hour classes because of my time zone. I didn’t mind one bit — I knew I was learning something that could truly help people reconnect with themselves and find healing from within.
Since graduating, I’ve been guiding breathwork sessions both in person and online, with people from all over the world. Hearing how each session impacts others fills me with so much gratitude — and seeing how breathwork continues to transform my own life has been deeply fulfilling.

Breathing is Healing
Modern research continues to show what ancient traditions have known for centuries: the way we breathe directly shapes the way we feel. Our breath is one of the few functions that connects the body and mind in real time. It can signal safety, calm the nervous system, and shift our emotional state within minutes. Studies on breath awareness and intentional breathing patterns show that slowing and deepening the breath sends messages to the brain that it is safe to relax, allowing tension, stress, and stored emotional energy to soften. When we breathe with intention, we are not just taking in air. We are giving our body a pathway to reset, reconnect, and return to balance.
Transformations
“Your voice is so soothing…”
“Yana, your voice is so soothing. During the session, it felt like you were right there with me, holding space in such a gentle way. It helped me drop fully into my own process without fear or resistance. I felt supported the entire time, and that made all the difference.”
“I’ve gained more in months of breathwork than years of talking…”
“Over the past several months of doing breathwork regularly with you, I’ve gained more insight and release than I did in years of talking about my struggles. It’s been unbelievably freeing, and I feel more connected to myself than ever.”
“My body started moving on its own…”
